Positioning and Mobility Clinic
What is the Positioning and Mobility Clinic?
The Positioning and Mobility Clinic provides a team approach to the evaluation, fittings, and
follow-up for the provision of: wheelchairs (manual and power), seating systems, standers,
adaptive car seats, adapted chairs and adaptive bath equipment. The equipment chosen is
designed to meet the needs of the individual and their families. Therapists specializing in
the area of positioning and mobility will lead the clinic working closely with the individual,
family members, primary therapists, physician and the rehabilitation technology supplier.
The rehabilitation technology suppliers who are represented in the clinic must be part of the
National Registry of Rehabilitation Technology Suppliers (NRRTS) and their representatives
must have the ATS/CRTS credential.
What can you expect at each visit?
Thorough consultation and evaluation with the client and team members to determine positioning and mobility needs. Recommendations and promotion of integration of other assistive technology. Interaction with the referral source, school personnel, employers, primary therapists, physicians, and others to assure quality of care. Assistance with procuring funding for equipment purchase. Follow-up provided, to assure fit, use, and prompt repair of equipment.
Clinic Details
Cost: Visits are billed directly to your insurance carrier, CFC, or when contracted with school districts as an Occupational or Physical Therapy session in 15 minute increments.

Schedule: Clinics are held every Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
